Charlie Brooker writing in the Guardian attacks Cameron and the Daily Star for promoting the far right and especially the EDL.
Not many anti-racists read porn mogul Richard Desmond's moronic celeb gossip comic the Daily Star, but UAF is campaigning for a boycott of the Star. Here is the statement:
Boycott the Daily Star
Is the Daily Star the EDL's new friend? On Wednesday of this week the paper ran a front page article headlined "EDL chief: Vote us into parliament!" It went onto boast that 98% of its respondents agreed with the EDL's policies.
A day earlier it ran another story saying the EDL would "fight for war heroes".
We’re sure none of you read this vile rag but it’s time boycott this paper.
