The BNP were humiliated last night in the Oldham East and Saddleworth by-election coming fifth behind Labour, Liberals, Conservatives and UKIP. See MEN report here.
The BNP also lost its deposit after its candidate, Derek Adams, took just 4.5% of the vote.
Adams gathered just 1,560 votes – down in both actual votes and percentage points from the general election when the BNP secured 2546 votes, with 5.7% of the total.
Slumped
The fascist party’s vote in Oldham East has slumped since 2005, when it got 11.2% in that year’s general election.
Well done to all the Oldham UAF supporters who campaigned and leafleted against the fascist BNP in the constituency!
