5 EDL thugs unsuccessfully attempted to disrupt a Respect meeting being addressed by George Galloway on Sunday 14th November at the Pakistani Community in Glodwick, Oldham. The intruders mouthed off abuse and threw punches.
40 people were at the meeting listening to Galloway and Yvonne Ridley when the meeting was interrupted.

Galloway and Respect have been heavily involved in Viva Palestina over the past year--carrying out a highly successful aid mission to Gaza this summer. The British media implemented a media blackout of the convoy.
Galloway also spoke at the recent UAF demo in London against racism, fascism and Islamophobia and also at a previous demo against a planned invasion of East London by the EDL both of which drew 5000 anti-fascists.
